ARIS Executive Search has been retained to recruit a Sr. Program Manager for our medical device contract manufacturing client in the northern suburbs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage all aspects of new product development programs from inception to production approval. Responsibilities include managing customer communication, driving deliverables to resolve issues and achieve time lines, developing tools and fixtures, researching and implementing processes and leading cross-functional teams to develop robust solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience in a contract manufacturing environment, preferably in regulated industries.
Experience:
Preferred 8 years minimum experience in engineering field in an injection molding environment managing projects that require cross-functional disciplines.
Knowledge:
Mastery and demonstrated execution of engineering and technical operations including all project engineering functions, understanding of the project development process and quality system requirements; strong knowledge of print reading and familiarity with inspection equipment. Effective use of project financials, Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, MS Project and business operating systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead new product development projects, and project teams, following internal procedures for project development and quality system processes, demonstrating effective leadership throughout all product development phases. Direct and assume responsibility for the activities of the team (some dotted line responsibilities may be required).
Proactively consolidate communication from multiple sources to effectively communicate issues, project schedules and updates to customers and suppliers as needed. Provide a single point of contact for customers including managing the customer relationship.
Create project time lines, define customer deliverables and create project plans for project execution. Monitor, control and communicate overall cost, schedules, risks and deliverables to all stakeholders. Understand and manage workloads placed at tool shops and other external suppliers to ensure lead times meet or exceed quoted lead times.
Assume responsibility for all aspects of development projects to ensure all changes in scope are identified and documented. Oversee the quotation process and ensure change is effectively implemented and internal and external expectations are understood and maintained.
